DOA/POA Combined (Annex Part 21)

Introduction
Please note this course is mainly aimed at - but not limited to - staff from Military Aviation Authorities or Military Organisations, as well as personnel from Non-EASA Member State Aviation Authorities or Industry.
Based on the EU Regulation (EC) 216/2008 the EU Commission has issued amongst others Regulation (EC) 1702/2003. Annexed to this Regulation is Annex Part 21 setting in Section A the Requirements for applicants and acquired rights and obligations and in Section B the Procedures for competent authorities.
This course will discuss in detail (EC) 1702/2003 as far as related to the tasks and responsibilities of applicants and holders of a Type Certificate, Restricted Type Certificate, Changes to TC or RTC and Supplemental Type Certificates, Production Organization Approval and Design Organization Approval, Repair approval and approval of Parts and Appliances, including ETSO Articles.
A major part of the training course will be the explanation of the Subpart G, Production Organization Approval as well as Subpart J, Design Organization Approval.
The different options regarding the issuance of the Permit to Fly by either the Competent Authority or by the approved Design and/or Production Organization will be highlighted.
An important aspect of Annex Part 21 is Continued Airworthiness, e.g. issuance of Airworthiness Directives and Service Information Bulletins by EASA and the required reporting by all parties of in service difficulties, incidents and accidents. This subject will be addressed in a dedicated session.

- Subpart O, European Technical Standard Authorisation
- Subpart P, Permit to Fly
- Subpart Q, Identification of Products, parts & appliances etc.
- Continued Airworthiness
- EASA POA/DOA approval procedures
Learning Objectives
At the end of the training course the attendees should have a detailed understanding of Annex Part 21 Section A and Section B regarding design and production approvals.
Target Group
- Non-EASA Member State Aviation Authorities intending to implement these specific Subparts of Annex 21 and Aviation Industry organisations in Non-EASA Member States who consider applying for an EASA DO and/or PO Approval.
- Staff of Military Aviation Authorities and Military organisations.
Prerequisites
A basic understanding of the subjects dealt with in the training course is an advantage.
